Carpet Cleaning
THE EXTRAORDINARY BENEFITS OF THE GLS/CRYSTAL DRY CARPET CLEANING SYSTEM
carpet.jpg (25726 bytes)The GLS system of carpet maintenance uses the latest technology for safe, yet effective soil management. The following benefits will be experienced if the GLS/CRYSTAL DRY® systems are used in your home:

SAFETY

  • No over-wetting - Carpets are dry in minutes… not days. Forget the stains that reappear, long drying times, and residues of other systems.
  • Approved - Crystal Dry® cleaning agent is approved for delicate wools and stain resist carpets.
  • Crystal Dry® has a near neutral pH with no artificial brighteners.
  • GLS Cylindrical Brushes lift pile and clean safely. Crystals and absorbed dirt are easily vacuumed and will not clog carpet.

APPEARANCE

  • Bright & Cleaner Carpets - Double cylindrical brushing action gives better chemical & mechanical agitation to get your carpets cleaner and brighter.
  • Pile Lifting - No more unsightly matted carpets. Carpet pile is lifted automatically during the cleaning process.
  • Frequency Safe - The GLS/CRYSTAL DRY® system is so safe to use, carpets may be cleaned with greater frequency. The end result is carpets which look great every day.

Low Moisture Carpet Cleaning, Vacuuming is not enough!

Frequently using a high quality vacuum is good, but not good enough.

Here’s why-

A vacuum cleaner is designed to do one thing – remove dry particulate soil. If all your carpeting ever accumulated was dry soil, then there would be no need to do anything except vacuum at scheduled intervals.

However, carpeting also receives a large amount of oily, sticky soils produced by people’s skin oils, asphalt paved parking lots, and to a larger extent airborne sources from pollutants.

When a vacuum passes over carpet fibers with no oily soils, the dry particulate soils are easily removed. Unfortunately, as fibers get coated with oily soils the vacuum can no longer knock the soil off of the fibers because they are stuck. An example would be salt on a dry desktop versus salt on a puddle of cooking oil. In this instance salt is easy to blow off the dry area and impossible to blow off the oily area.

Conclusion: Vacuums need an occasional boost to be able to remove oily soils.

Enter Crystal Dry®

Crystal Dry® is sprayed onto the carpet and agitated with two cylindrical brushes. The unique blend of detergents along with the brushes’ mechanical action break the oil’s bond to the carpet fibers. Once the oils and soils are emulsified (taken into the Crystal Dry® solution) the solution dries into polymer crystals which may be left on the fibers until the next scheduled vacuuming. The crystals do not "stick" to the fibers. They are just like the dry particulate soil, which vacuums were designed to remove. As the vacuum passes over the fibers the crystallized soil and oils are easily recovered.

You may ask "How often will I need to use the Crystal Dry® and GLS process?" This is dependent on traffic patterns and types of soil, but it can be seen in these terms – the oilier the soil the more often you should use it.

A rule of thumb may be GLS/CD every 6 to 12 months in areas with low amounts of oily soils, and every 3 to 6 months in areas with high amounts of oily soils.

End result: Your vacuuming is optimized and carpets will look new!
